How does Outlook sync with my device's contacts on Android?

When you compose an email in Outlook, we search for recipients from both your Android address book and your Outlook address book.

Additionally, we give you the option to sync contacts from your email accounts to your Android address book for use in other apps.

To enable this feature:

Go to Settings.

Under Accounts, tap the account you would like to sync with.

Switch the Sync Contacts slider to ON.

Note: When you attempt to enable contacts sync in Microsoft Outlook for Android, if the toggle option for Sync contacts is disabled and a message is displayed with the text Contacts sync isn鈥檛 turned on in system settings, this may be due to the Auto sync data option being disabled in system settings. To fix this issue, enable Auto sync data in Accounts menu in the Android system settings. This option is usually found in a vertical ellipsis or triple bar. The Accounts menu can be in different locations, depending on the make of the device and version of Android.

In most newer models, Accounts can be searched for in Settings.
